How Do You Install Mercedes Wheel Spacers?
The function of wheel spacers is to push the wheels farther away from the body of the Mercedes they are mounted on. This results in a wider track, which in turn improves stability and handling and reduces body roll. Most spacers are made of aluminum. There are two types of spacers, the most common of which is simply a flat, round design that slides over your existing wheels studs. The other type is wider and features new studs. This type slides over the studs of the car, and the wheel is fastened to the new studs. Loosen the lug nuts of the wheels at all four corners of the car. Jack up the car and place it securely on jack stands. Remove the wheels and tires at all four corners. Slide the wheel spacers onto the lug nuts through the corresponding holes, ensuring that the wheel space seats all of the way against the hub. If you are using spacers that have new studs mounted on the spacer, installation is the same. When you put the wheel back on, though, you will be using the new wheel st
