Landscape blocks are an excellent choice for surrounding flower beds, creating paths or building attractive walls. There are a variety of landscape block options, in many colors, shapes and designs. While landscape blocks may be more costly, they are generally more attractive and hold up better over time than other options such as wood or plastic features. Measure the area where you will be placing the blocks. Visualize how high you want the block feature to be so that you know how many levels of block you will need. Choose the blocks that best suit your desired landscape feature. Some blocks are better suited for curved walls than others, for instance. Dig out the area where your first layer of blocks will be. Essentially, this will be a shallow trench the width of your blocks. The trench should be at least an inch and a half to two inches deep.
