How Do You Install Laminate Flooring On Stairs?
• Cut your laminate flooring to measure, keeping in mind that you won’t have to leave an expansion perimeter. Laminate does not tend to expand or contract very much. • Start from the top of the stairs and work your way down. By doing this you avoid standing on the freshly installed flooring (and you won’t trap yourself upstairs when the job is done!). Glue the flooring in place. It is recommended that you do not “float” laminate flooring on stairs. Cover the entire underside of the plank with adhesive. Insufficient adhesive will cause the laminate to lift up over time.
