The Internet Explorer web browser is certainly no exception to this. If you want to install the Internet Explorer Version 5.5 Service Pack 2 update onto your computer, you’ll need to download the appropriate installation file from the Internet. Open your web browser. Go to a download site for Internet Explorer Service Pack 2, such as PC World.com (see References). Click “Download Now.” Save the Service Pack 2 installation file to your hard drive. Double-click on the Service Pack 2 installation file. Click “Next.” Click “I Agree” and then “Next” when you are presented with the legal terms of service. Click “Finish” to install Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 2 onto your computer.
