Installing a pool filter is a very important part of ensuring your pool has clean, sanitized and clear water. A simple method, and least expensive compared to PVC piping, is to use pool hose to install the pool filter to the pool and pool pump. Using pool hose makes your system installation quick while giving you secure fittings to the pump and pool. After following a few steps and purchasing two pieces of pool hose at your local pool shop, your filter will be ready to go, and your pool will have beautiful, clear water. Unplug the pool pump or turn off the circuit breaker to avoid electrical shock while working on the pool filter. Use a piece of pool hose and connect one end of the hose to the outlet valve on the right side of the filter and the other end to the pool’s return jet, which is located on the sidewall of the pool.
