How Do You Install Harmonics Laminate Wood Flooring?
Harmonics laminate is a composite flooring product sold exclusively at Costco stores. It is designed to look like wood flooring but costs just a fraction of the price. This product is available in four different finishes and features a proprietary installation system known as Uniclic. The Uniclic system means that the laminate is installed without the use of glue or nails. This makes it easy for DIY homeowners to successfully install these floors themselves. Remove the molding or baseboards from the perimeter of the room. Pry them away from the wall gently using the claw end of a hammer. Remove the nails from the molding and set it aside for reuse. Dispose of the molding if you plan to replace it to match the new flooring. Level the subfloor. Use a leveling compound to smooth out the surface so that there is no more than a 1/16 inch slope over every 40 inches of floor area. You can also use a grinder to remove bumps or high spots, or sand them away with sandpaper if the subfloor is mad
