Advances in building technology have led to radiant-heated concrete slabs (floors) that offer an energy efficient home heating option. Concrete floors are generally a suitable surface for hardwood application, however, radiant heat slabs require a special installation because of their internal components. Hardwood is a generally easy installation on most floor types, and radiant heat concrete slabs are no exception. They can usually be successfully completed by just about anyone. Turn off the floor heater and let the floor cool to room temperature (natural temperature).
