How Do You Install Frame Sliders On A Hayabusa?

0

Frame sliders are cheap insurance for your Hayabusa. Protecting the frame from damage in most falls, frame sliders are well worth the investment. Sliders are available in two types: race-style sliders, which offer the greatest protecting but require you to cut your fairings, and no-cut style sliders. The no-cut style offers less protection but is easier to install. Remove the right side fairing. Remove the front engine mount bolt. Install the frame slider bracket using the engine mount bolt provided in the kit, which is usually the shorter of the two bolts. Tighten the bolt to 50 pound-feet. Install the slider puck. Re-install the right side fairing. Repeat steps 1-5 on left side of the motorcycle. Remove the right side fairing. Remove the front engine mount bolt. Using the engine mount bolt provided in the kit, install only a few threads into the engine mount. Apply a layer of permanent ink to the head of the bolt and replace the fairing, allowing the ink to mark the bolt’s location.
