Making Firefox 3 your default browser and removing Internet Explorer 7 is a simple procedure. Open Internet Explorer and navigate to the Mozilla website (see Resources). Click “Download Firefox” and follow the steps to install the application. Open Firefox and check the box that prompts you to make it the default browser. Go to “Control Panel” and “Add or Remove Programs.” Select Internet Explorer and choose “Uninstall.” Restart your computer after Internet Explorer uninstalls.
