Installing epoxy flooring to your garage floor is a great weekend project that can easily be done with the following steps. Clear your garage floor of all debris. Sweep the floor to prepare it for your etching agent. Flooring must be etched prior to applying epoxy to ensure that the epoxy adheres. Etch your garage with an etching solution. Mix the solution as directed, usually one part water to one part etching solution. Pour the solution on a 10 by 10-foot section of your garage and work left to right and then up and down with your push broom. This will ensure every inch is covered. Allow the solution to set for five minutes then rinse off with a hose. Continue on to the next section. Sweep floor clean once it is dry.
