How Do You Install Dual Boot Windows XP & Ubuntu Hardy Heron?
Hardy Heron is a version of the Ubuntu operating system that was released in April of 2008. If you want to switch over to the Linux operating system but don’t want to fully commit, you can “dual boot” between Hardy Heron and Windows XP. This means that every time you start up your computer, you can choose whether you want to start Windows XP or Ubuntu. To get this done, the only computer components that you need are an active Internet connection and a CD burner. Open your Web browser. Go to the Ubuntu download page for Hardy Heron. (See “References.”) Click the type of Ubuntu disc image file you want to download under the “Desktop CD” listing. Click the x86 listing if you are running a 32-bit computer, or the x64 listing if you are running a 64-bit computer. You will download the 699 MB Ubuntu installation disc image file to your computer.
