Whether you want to add a few more components to your RV or you just want to relieve some of the stress on your current system, consider adding deep-cycle marine batteries to your camper. Turn the engine off. Open the hood and remove the positive battery cable from the camper’s battery with a wrench. Pick a location for the batteries. The interior closet floor is a safe and convenient location in most campers. Mount the batteries. Arrange the battery boxes where you want them. Lock a drill bit into the drill motor chuck and drill through all of the battery box’s mounting tabs and into the camper’s floor. Drill another hole beside one of the battery boxes for the battery cable to pass through. Push a rubber grommet into the hole to protect the cable from being cut on the sharp edge.
