How Do You Install Child Safety Gates?
Child safety gates keep small children and even pets from entering certain areas of the home that may be dangerous or hazardous to them. Many child safety gates are simple removable units, however, there are gates that attach permanently to the wall or door jam of a room. These gates actually need to be installed prior to being set up to keep your children safe. Luckily for most parents, the installation and set up of these gates is simple and can be done by anyone. Choose the doorway that you will block with the safety gate and use the tape measure to measure the distance between the sides of the door jam. Also, measure up from the floor along the sides of the door jams and mark the height of the gate mounts (normally 3 inches and 36 inches).
