How Do You Install An Oven Thermostat?
Oven thermostats will fail over time. Your casseroles will either burn or not cook through because the thermostat is not doing its job of regulating the temperature. You can install an oven thermostat yourself in a couple of hours. Be sure that you have the model number and brand of oven when purchasing a new thermostat. This will ensure you purchase the correct one for your unit. Most appliance repair facilities will have a replacement or can order one for you. Look inside your home electrical panel to find the circuit breaker labeled for your oven. Turn off the circuit breaker to the oven. Pull the oven range forward so that you have access to the rear of the oven. You may have to tilt the rear up a bit to move it forward because some installations have an anti-tip bracket in the floor that connect to the rear legs.
