How Do You Install An Internal CD-RW Drive?
Forget dubbing cassette tapes. Now you can create your own CD’s, filled with whatever you want: songs, pictures and other computer files. Begin by shutting down your computer and unplugging it. Remove the outer cover from your computer. Set your CD-RW to the “slave” position by placing the jumper pin in the correct position in the rear of your drive. Slide your CD-RW into an available drive bay on your computer. Connect the 40-pin IDE cable to the rear of your CD-RW. Make sure that side of the cable with the thin colored line is connected to the right side of your CD-RW. Also, be sure NOT to use the same IDE cable to connect your CD-RW as your hard drive is connected to, this could result in severe complications with your computer. Connect your audio cable.
