Locate the access door on your air conditioning unit. Some units have a small door you can lift up to access the filter itself. Others have a larger door that you will need to open or remove to access the filter. Open or lift the door that provides access to the filter. Take note of the size of the filter that is printed on the filter frame. You will need to replace the filter with the same size.
