ActiveX controls are small add-on programs that appear on some Web pages, allowing your Web browser to perform functions that it normally would be unable to. Installing ActiveX controls should only take a few moments, though it is important to make sure that you trust the website and the ActiveX control that it wants to install before you begin the installation. Visit the website page that is attempting to install the ActiveX control. Your Web browser may hesitate for a moment as it receives the request to install the control; a highlighted information bar will appear at the top of the screen to inform you that the Web page wishes to install an ActiveX control. The name of the control will also be included. Click on the information bar.
