How Do You Install A Window Flower Box?
There is nothing more inviting than to see flowers overflowing from a beautiful flower box mounted on a window. No need to hire a professional to hang a window box–in minutes, you can install a flower box yourself. Here’s how. Place a ladder within working distance of where you want to hang the flower box. Drill a hole in the center side of the box 2 inches from the top edge. Drill a hole 2 inches from the far left side and 2 inches from the top edge of the box. Drill another hole 2 inches from the right side of the box at the same location. All the holes should line up. Insert a 3/8-inch hanger bolt through each hole. Climb the ladder with the flower box and a hammer. Position the box at the desired location. Hammer the bolt into the house to mark where the box will hang. This will allow you to drill into the home with perfect measurements. Take the box back to the ground. Climb the ladder with a drill. Drill the marking with a 1/2-inch drill bit.
