Today, I will be installing a trailer wiring harness on a Hyundai Sonata. I have already installed the hitch. So let’s get started, just follow the steps below to continue. Start by popping open the trunk. Remove the trunk carpet. There’s a panel where the hatch for the trunk is. Remove that panel and side panels as well. Get the wring harness. Shake it up through where the hatch is to the connector for the rear lights. Remove the rear light connector and plug it into the wiring harness, then plug the wiring harness into the rear light. Put the panel back on. Now go to the driver side. Do the same thing you did for the passenger side. Attach your ground wire to the vehicle. Find a good spot on the vehicle to mount your converter box. Put all your panels back in place. When you are ready to use it, just take it out of the trunk.
