How Do You Install A Thule Tire Mounted Bike Rack?
Thule produces a large variety of bike racks to meet the needs of people with different types of vehicles. Thule creates a bike rack made specifically for vehicles with a rear mounted spare tire. This allows biking enthusiasts with a rear spare tire to easily mount two bicycles to their vehicle and travel to their favorite biking trail. Almost anyone can install a Thule bike rack on a vehicle with a rear spare tire in little time. Remove the lug nuts on the rear spare tire with the lug wrench and pull the tire off of the vehicle. Place the mounting plate onto the lug screws with the cut-out part of the mounting plate positioned at either the top or the bottom, but not to the sides. Replace spare tire onto the lug screws before replacing the lug nuts and tightening them with lug wrench. The mounting plate tube should be sticking out from the center of the spare tire.
