How Do You Install A Throttle Position Sensor?
A throttle position sensor measures the amount of throttle that you are giving the vehicle and sends that signal to the computer. This signal then makes certain parts of the vehicle react differently depending on the amount of throttle applied. The main component it affects is the transmission, which will engage more aggressively with additional throttle. Replacing the sensor is an easy task once you understand the steps required to do the job properly. Open the hood of your vehicle. Locate the throttle position sensor. The senor is near the engine side of the air intake hose, connected to the side of throttle body. It’s made mostly of plastic and is held on by about four bolts or screws. Remove the bolts or screws from the throttle position sensor using either a ratchet and socket or a screwdriver.
