How Do You Install A Throttle Body Spacer(TBS) On A 99 GMC Sonoma?
This article will teach you how easy it is to install a throttle body spacer on a 1999 GMC Sonoma with the 4.3 liter v6. Benefits include improved gas mileage and better performance. Remove the air inlet assembly from the top of the throttle body. Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold. This can be done by locating the four bolts that hold the TB to the intake manifold. Replace the short factory studs with the longer studs provided in the kit. This also includes a spacer for the bracket that hold the throttle cable. Install the new gasket provided onto the TBS. You will reuse the gasket on the intake manifold, just be sure to give it a quick cleaning before you reuse it. Install the TBS between the intake manifold and the throttle body with the new gasket facing up. Secure everything with the supplied nuts, tighten the nuts over the newly installed longer studs. Replace the air inlet assembly onto the throttle body and enjoy your newfound performance and gas mileage.
