How Do You Install A Stereo In A Geo Tracker?

0

The Geo Tracker is a fun little four-wheel drive with a fold back rear roof panel and an attractive price. Upgrading the stereo in the Geo Tracker adds improved sound and up-to-date features. Swapping the stereo out is a straightforward project that takes the right parts and about an hour. Disconnect the cable from the negative side of the battery. Set the cable so it doesn’t come in contact with any metal parts. Remove the climate control knobs from the dash. Pull open the ashtray and look for two screws at the bottom of the trim piece; if yours has these screws, remove them, but not all models have them. Pry the upper right corner of the surround trim. Continue applying firm pressure to unclip each of the connectors as you work towards the bottom. Remove the trim piece and set it aside. Locate the screw on each side of the head unit and remove both of them. Pull the stereo from the Geo Tracker dash and disconnect the wires from the back of the radio. Slide the new stereo into the GM
