How Do You Install A Stereo In A Chrysler Town & Country?

0

The Chrysler Town & Country is one the popular minivans Chrysler brought to prominence during the 1980s. The Town & Country is the upscale model in the lineup with improved comfort and amenities. Upgrading the stereo in a Town & Country model between 1996 and 1999 takes a few basic tools and about an hour to complete. Disconnect the negative wire on the battery. Secure the wire carefully to keep it from touching any metal parts. Locate two screws at the top of the trim that surrounds the Town & Country stereo and remove them. Open the ashtray and pull the trim below the radio out to expose two more screws. Remove the screws and pull the trim away from the dash. Remove the screw on each side of the radio and pull the head unit out of the dash. Unplug the wires behind the stereo and let them hang from the front of the opening. Connect the wiring harness adaptor to the original wire and connect the green ground wire to the screw at the back of the opening in the dash. Slide the new radio
