How Do You Install A Sprinkler System (Part 7)?
In this final part 7 of how to install a sprinkler system we will cover programming of the sprinkler controller to best optimize watering the lawn while taking into consideration water usage restrictions. [To see the beginning of this 7 part installation guide see the link for Part 1 below.] Depending upon the sprinkler controller you buy, your lawn care functionality will differ. If you are just looking to keep your yard green, then a basic controller with regularly scheduled watering cycles will work fine. But if you want the ultimate watering control of your yard or garden, where different moisture levels are required, then dish out the bucks and you will get what you want (you can throw your budget out the window too). The basic 6 or 8 station sprinkler controller works fine for most households. I have seen 6 station controllers for $40 at Home Depot
