In this part 5 of how to install a sprinkler system we will start laying pipe and plumbing up the circuits (watering sections) to the solenoid valve manifold. [If you are looking for the beginning of this 7 part installation guide a link has been provided for Part 1 at the bottom of this article.] Now it’s time to start making pipe runs. Start at each solenoid valve output with 3/4″ PVC pipe and cement it in place with the other end capped off or temporarily taped up to prevent dirt ingress. Use slip to slip 3/4″ couplings to extend the runs. Once you get to the first sprinkler install a 3/4″ Slip x 3/4″ Slip x 1/2″ female threaded Tee. The 1/2″ female threaded portion of the Tee is the bisecting section that should face up. Place a 1/2″ threaded plug into the Tee to keep dirt from getting into it. Keep doing this as you get to each sprinkler location. If the sprinkler is located on a corner then you will use an elbow Tee with a 1/2″ female threaded port. When you get about half or two
