How Do You Install A RV Water Pump?
Most RV’s have an internal water system run by a water pump. These pumps usually last for several years, but occasionally one will fail–often when water remains in it over the winter. This water expands when it freezes and ruins the pump. Fortunately, replacing a broken pump is something most owners can do themselves. A few tools and the new pump are all that’s required to do the job. Find the water pump. It is usually located near the freshwater tank, hidden in a cabinet or under a dinette table seat. If you have trouble locating the pump, just turn on the water and the noise of the pump will help you find it. Shut off power to the water pump. Do this by throwing the water pump circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel, which will be located near the inverter. If the old pump is still in place, remove it.
