How Do You Install A Power Window Regulator?
Power windows make for a much easier driving experience, since the driver of the vehicle does not have to lean across the car to roll the windows up or down. Unfortunately, with convenience, in this case, come many small parts that are prone to breaking when used often. With a little mechanical knowledge, just about anyone can replace a broken window regulator. Save time and money by doing it yourself rather than taking your car to the shop to get the regulator fixed. Use a knife, wedge, or small prybar to remove any plastic access panels on the door of the car with the broken regulator. This includes plastic around the door handle and the window switch itself. Remove the electrical connector from the back of the window switch and set the switch aside. Remove all door panel mounting bolts beneath the plastic access panels. Most cars will only have two, but some have three or four, so be sure you get them all before prying the door panel off the door with a small prybar or similar tool.
