How Do You Install A Power Steering Hose?
A leaky power steering pressure hose can make steering your vehicle very hard and cause the vehicle to become uncontrollable even when attempting to park. A loud screeching noise or smoke coming from under the hood are signs that the power steering hose may be losing fluid. Another possible sign is a burning smell coming from under the hood when the engine runs for a long time. Make this repair as soon as it is confirmed–not doing so can lead to injury or death due to loss of steering control or fire. Identify the pressure return hose by its threaded fittings on both ends. Find the leak in the steering hose by following the pressure hose from the pump to the steering box located in the engine bay near the left fender.
