How Do You Install A Pivot Shower Door?
Most shower doors are installed on a track. The track allows the shower door to slide back and forth in place. This type of shower door does not always work. Smaller shower spaces can benefit from a pivot shower door. A pivot shower door simply pivots in place, opening and closing like a typical door. Installing a pivot shower door is not hard, but you will need a friend to help you lift the door into place. Measure the threshold of the shower with your measuring tape. Mark this measurement on the threshold track. Cut the threshold track to size with a hacksaw. Install the pivot bracket on the bottom edge of the threshold. Apply silicone caulk to the back of the pivot. Set the bracket onto the bottom ledge of the shower and screw it into place using your screwdriver. Spread a bead of silicone caulk along the bottom of the threshold track. Set the track into place with the high side of the track facing the outside of the shower.
