How Do You Install A Pedestal Sink Onto Drywall?
Pedestal sinks were all but a thing of the past when large vanities and double bowl sinks entered the scene. Home decorators took advantage of all the extra storage space vanities offered, especially for small bathrooms. Pedestal sinks are making a comeback, however, as bath and sink product manufacturers introduce more stylish choices than ever, and the pedestal sink is the perfect choice for the small bathroom that can’t accommodate a vanity. If you’ve selected a pedestal sink for your bath, you can install it onto the drywall with some lag bolts. Find the drywall studs with a stud finder. Pre-drill the two holes in the studs to hold the sink bracket to the wall. Mount the sink bracket to the wall with lag bolts. Put the lag bolts through the holes in the sink bracket, into the pre-drilled holes and secure the bracket firmly to the drywall studs. Set the sink on the bracket.
