Installing a new shower curtain rod and shower curtain can help transform a bathroom with a completely new look without a major renovation expense. This low budget makeover can be changed seasonally or whenever the need arises. You don’t need any tools to complete this project, simply purchase the necessary items. Hold the tension rod at the top of the shower and begin to twist the rod until the ends meet the wall. Tension rods are spring loaded so you will need to twist until you have a tight and secure fit. Add the shower curtain hooks to the tension rod. The number of hooks will depend on the shower curtain. It is easier to add the hooks after the rod is in place, so they don’t fall off during the installation process. Hang the shower curtain on the hooks. Once in place, move the shower curtain to the length of the shower walls to insure water does not escape.
