How Do You Install A New Cabinet Door?
Tired of that out-of-style kitchen? Jazz it up inexpensively with new cabinet doors. Step 1 Remove the old cabinet door. Step 2 Attach two or three hinges evenly spaced along the back edge of the new door. Step 3 Measure where the top edge of the door will be placed onto the cabinet base, and mark the cabinet base. Step 4 Hold chalk string to the marks on the cabinet base and snap a chalk line. This will help you align the tops of the doors. Step 5 Place the new door over the cabinet opening and align with chalk line. Step 6 Mark the top hinge location on each cabinet frame. Step 7 Open hinges and place the door against the frame, aligning hinges with hinge marks. Step 8 Anchor hinges to the frame with the screws provided in hinge kit. Step 9 Erase all marks. Step 10 Attach doorknobs and catches.
