Microsoft Word macros increase productivity by automating repetitive tasks. One macro might remove blank lines in a document while another could insert and install a table at the click of a button. Word has a “Record Macro” button that lets users record their keyboard actions and save them as a macro. Developers code macros using the Visual Basic tool included with Word. You can also install third-party external macros that you find on the Internet or receive by email. Open Word and click “File” and then “Open” to open the File Selection window. Select the Word template document that contains the macro that you received. Click “Open” to open that file and return to Word’s main screen. Click “File” and then “Options” to open the Options window. Click “Customize Ribbon” and put a checkmark next to “Developer” in the “Customize the Ribbon” panel. This will show the Developer panel in the main ribbon. Click “OK” to close the window and return to Word’s main screen. Click “Developer” at the
