How Do You Install A Lint Trap On A Washer?
Installing a lint trap is essential to insuring the drain for your washer does not clog. A lint trap, as its name implies, catches the loose pieces of lint from your washer that are filtered out through the washer’s drain hose. Without a lint trap, your drain will become clogged quite quickly and may lead to serious repairs later down the road. Slip the lint trap over the end of your washer’s drain hose. The drain hose will most likely be leading into a slop sink next to your washer or a floor drain. Slip the hose clamp over the lint trap to the very end of the lint trap, the end that first slipped over your drain hose. Using a screwdriver tighten the nut on the lint trap, until it is firmly in place.
