How Do You Install A Lawn Sprinkler System?

Just follow these instructions. Lay out the lines for the sprinkler system with stakes and string. Dig trenches by removing sections of sod and placing aside, then dig 6 to 12 inches(dependent on the severity of frost in your area). Make sure trenches are level. Place 3/4-inch PVC pipe in the trenches. Join sections with solvent cement. Insert 3/4-by-1/2 inch reducing tees for each sprinkler head every 7 to 10 feet apart. Assemble a manifold with control valves to be attached to the water supply line to route water to the lines. Install sprinkler heads on tees.
