How Do You Install A LAN Router Inside A Computer?
A router is a networking device that filters net traffic, dividing the incoming and outgoing traffic into channels so multiple computers can use the Internet concurrently. Installing a LAN router (i.e., a LAN router card) into your computer can provide you with the advantages of having a router without the additional physical space that would be occupied by an external model. This is a basic computer operation that can be done in less than 30 minutes. Remove the two screws from the right rear of your case and slide off the right panel of the computer. Insert the router card into an available PCI slot, located on the bottom half of your motherboard toward the rear of the machine. Screw the card into position. Start your computer and insert the driver disk that came with your router card. Select the “Install” button to install the required drivers and software for using your router card.
