How Do You Install A Jeep Cherokee Front Bumper?
You can install a front bumper on your Jeep Cherokee in minutes with just six bolts. The bumper is attached at the frame using a bracket system that is bolted to the main bumper itself. The bolts are all T-45 Torx head bolts and can be very difficult to remove if you are taking an old bumper off. If you are installing a new bumper on a Cherokee without a bumper on it, visit the dealer and purchase new hardware. It will save you time removing the bumper should the need ever arise in the future. Inspect the mounting location on the front of the Cherokee. The mounting holes have a welded nut on one hole and spring clips on the other two. Check the threads before you start to be sure they are in good condition. Mount the bumper support brackets on the frame if they are not already there. There are three holes in each bracket that you will align with the mounting holes on the vertical edge of the frame rail.
