The F22 is the designation Honda assigned to an engine series that was placed into four different Honda vehicles: the Accord, the Odyssey, the Acura and the Prelude. While the vehicles themselves may be different, the location and method of installing a new thermostat in these vehicles will follow the same pattern. It’s a relatively simple operation, and it is also inexpensive. Of course, before you install the thermostat into your Honda, you must first remove the old one. Locate the thermostat housing on the Honda by following the large coolant hose at the top of your radiator until it connects to your engine. The part it connects to is the removable thermostat housing. Loosen and unhook the coolant hose from the thermostat housing. Some coolant may spill out during this process, so be careful.
