How Do You Install A Home Audio System?
Installing a newly purchased home stereo system can be daunting, but there’s no need to call a technician–installation can be a simple process that only requires a few tools. Determine the type of speaker wire you will require. Examine the speaker wire terminals in the back of your stereo receiver. Most receivers have spring-loaded clips, but some receivers have binding posts. Binding posts provide stronger connection but will only connect with banana plugs, spade connectors or pin connectors. Spring clips will connect with bare wire and pin connectors. You can use bare wire to create a basic connection at any customizable length. The remaining wires come in predetermined lengths. Start with all the components unplugged and place them in their final locations. If you have a large room, you may want to insure the connecting cables for each component will comfortably reach the stereo receiver.
