How Do You Install A Heating Element In A Kenmore Dryer?
Whirlpool-manufactured Kenmore dryers are known for providing homeowners with reliable and long-lasting service. If your Kenmore dryer has stopped producing heat and you’ve identified a broken heating element as the cause, the question is whether to have your appliance serviced by a professional or replace the element yourself. The heating element in a Kenmore dryer can be accessed through the dryer’s bottom front panel. Unplug your Kenmore dryer from its power source. Make sure that your dryer is completely disconnected from all sources of electricity before attempting to repair it. Shine a flashlight into the space above the dryer’s bottom front access panel. Look for two metal clips, positioned about 4 inches from either side of the panel. Use a putty knife or flathead screwdriver to put pressure on the metal clips until they release. With the clips released, pull off the entire bottom front access panel. Set the panel aside until you are ready to put it back on your Kenmore dryer.
