How Do You Install A GE Gas Range?
Installing a GE gas range is a relatively straightforward job but for the fact it requires an active gas hookup. Whether you already have a gas line in place or if you need a new one brought into the kitchen, it will require the services of a plumbing professional experienced in working with gas and the equipment to ensure a safe and complete operating connection. Remove the old range and clean any dust or debris that has accumulated. Measure the depth of the new range. If it is not as deep, determine if you will need to patch the flooring for that difference in distance. Move the range halfway toward the wall into position so you can access the gas and electrical hookups, but close enough so the connections are not strained. Make the gas connection and plug in the electrical cord that runs the range ignition, clock, timer and oven light functions. Slide the range into final position and adjust leg levelers as necessary to achieve level.
