If the water in your pool is too cold, a gas heater is one option to increase the water temperature and increase the amount of time and enjoyment you get from your pool. Choose the proper location for the heater. Depending on the model you have purchased, it will require certain clearance distances on all sides as well as above the unit. This will dictate to some degree where you can install the unit. You will also want to locate the heater as close to the pump as possible to reduce piping. Other considerations are the locations of your gas and electrical supplies. Plumb the heater to the pump/filter system. Set the heater in place and carefully measure for your piping. You will want to interrupt the water flow just after the filter. Using PVC pipe, go from the filter outlet to the inlet side of the filter.
