How Do You Install A Garmin Map Update?
Every couple of years, Garmin provides map updates for their customers. Downloading these updates will keep your GPS up-to-date with the latest maps, streets and buildings. This way you do not come across any surprises while traveling and using your Garmin. Garmin does charge for the map update. Using myGarmin coupled with the Garmin Communicator and Download Manager, you will be able to quickly update your maps. Go to the myGarmin website (see Resources section). Log into your myGarmin account or click the link under the log in section to register for a new account. Follow the steps on the site to register your account. You will need to provider some personal information and set up a username and password. Register your Garmin GPS if you haven’t already.
