Sometimes the hose can break or spring a leak, in which case you’ll need to install a new fuel hose. Park your car in a level and flat location. Turn off the engine. Open the hood. Allow the engine to cool off enough to work safely. Measure the length of hose needed, and cut the new fuel hose to the appropriate size. Leave a couple of extra inches of length at one end so you can make adjustments. Loosen one of the hose clamps by turning the screw counterclockwise. Slip the clamp over one end of the new hose. Slide the hose over the nipple connection on the fuel filter. Adjust the clamp so it covers both the hose and the filter. Tighten the clamp by turning it clockwise with the screwdriver.
