Windows Media Player is Microsoft’s default media player. This program is available for PCs or Macs as a free download. Much like similar programs, Windows Media Player allows you to add music and videos from your computer to play in the “library” or as “playlists.” You can rip and burn CDs from Windows Media Player as well. If you prefer, set up a playlist and burn a mixed CD for in your car or to give as a gift. Visit Windows Media’s website and click the link for the latest version of Windows Media Player. Click “Download Now.” Save the executable file to your desktop. Double click the file upon download completion and run through the installation wizard. Read and check that you read the user agreement. Read each screen and select “Next” or “Back.” Restart your computer when the installation wizard is complete. Once rebooted, start the Windows Media Player program and add your music and videos.
