Though most buggy engines come with stock air intake mechanisms, experts believe that these mechanisms do not provide sufficient cold air to give maximum horsepower to the engine. Installing a specially made cold air intake mechanism will turn your dune buggy into a fuel-efficient powerhouse. Remove the battery. Installing a new air intake without removing the battery of the engine will render the whole exercise of fitting the new air intake ineffective, and the process could prove dangerous.
