Purchase a double sink drain assembly kit to install a double sink drain Place plumber’s putty on the bottom of the sink drain for each sink. Insert a sink drain into the hole of each sink. Secure the lock nut on the bottom of each sink with an adjustable wrench. Let the plumber’s putty dry overnight. Attach the sink drain assembly, which comes in two pieces, to each strainer. The strainer is the metal drain pipe that sticks out from the bottom of the sink. Insert a T connection to connect the double-bowl sink drain assembly. The T connects the two pieces of PVC from each strainer. Attach the T connection to the p-trap.
