How Do You Install A CPU Power Supply Pack?
The power supply pack on the computer’s central processing unit (CPU) is designed to convert power from an electrical outlet and distribute it into usable power throughout the computer. Located in the back of the computer’s case, it is mounted to the back wall and has a port for an electrical cord to be attached to it and plugged into an electrical outlet. Installing a CPU power supply pack is easy to do and will only take a few minutes to complete. How to install a CPU power supply pack Step 1 Turn the computer off and unplug the power supply and peripheral electrical wires from the back of the computer case. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the retaining screws that hold the computer’s case cover onto the base of the CPU and put the screws somewhere safe. Step 2 Slide the CPU cover forward and remove it from the base. Set the cover off to the side and locate the CPU power supply pack on the back wall of the CPU.
