How Do You Install A Cold Air Intake On A Scion TC?
A cold air intake replaces the factory air cleaner in a Scion TC. The factory air cleaner box on the TC is somewhat restrictive when it comes to air flow, so a popular modification is to remove the factory cleaning unit and replace it with a cold air intake. The cold air intake draws air into the engine from underneath the Scion. This cold air is much more dense than the warm air under the hood of the vehicle. Because of this, the air-to-fuel ratio is leaned out and provides better low-end torque and throttle response. Once the factory air box has been removed, you’ll need to know how to install the new cold air intake. Slide the cold air intake tubing over the end of the throttle body. The rubber neck of the intake tubing should fit a bit snug. Tighten the hose clamp on the end of the cold air intake to throttle body connection with a screwdriver. Bolt the cold air intake mounting bracket to the factory bracket location. The factory bracket location should be located towards the front
